Jesus is now on Facebook......

If Jesus were on Facebook, how many friends would he have? My teenager said a lot because he's done so much for people. My wife said Twelve, yes Twelve!
How many would he have had in His day and are they what He called a Friend?
"You are My friends if you do what I command you"(John. 15:14)
How do you feel about these words? This is what He told the Twelve and He knew one was a devil.(Jn.6:70) He said.."Did I not Chose you, the Twelve? And yet one of you is a devil"
That's another thing with Facebook..we get to chose are friends. We can pick people to see our page and block'em if we feel too.
People wanted to be Jesus Friend for all kinds of reasons. He can Heal illness, feed for Free and do some nifty miracles. Like...bring a person back to life who had been dead for Four Days. Not Bad! Not to forget His own prediction of His death and back from death to life. Being seen by over Five hundred people after his death. I think that many witnesses, would be proof in our courts today.
This thing about being Chosen slows me down and makes me think. That He would Chose me to be not just a disciple, follower but a Friend. The same relationship that the Twelve had I can have today. "If Anyone loves me, he will keep my Word, and My Father will love him,and we will come to him and make our Home with him." (John 14:23)

When was the last time you thought about how long you have left to live? OK, I know it sounds like someones having an "over the hill moment." I ran into a young friend that I hadn't talked to in 33 years at my place of employment. I say young because he's probably in his late 40's. He mentioned how his parents had died in the last two years. As we talked he said, do you have your health? I thought ...what does that mean? Does any body really HAVE their health? I told him yes, but I lost my mind in the Seventy's. This thing about getting older does make me think. Especially, when I moan to pick up any thing a little heavy for me. Now, back to the thought again, "how long do I really have"? This guy (left) is in his ninety's, not bad..considering he worked like a mule in his working days. We really don't know the number even "if" we are or "not," keeping in shape. They say "it's not how long you live but how you live it."
I am so thankful for the Salvation that is given through Christ, to all who believe on Him. Now, am ready if this is the day He wants to take me home....I'm just a slow packer.
"My times are in your hands;" (Psalms 31:15) ESV
"So, whoever has the son, has life; whoever rejects the Son, rejects life." MSG

We All have them! Those days where everything seems to go wrong. From the movement you get up to the hour before you hit the hay. Just when you're in your biggest moment of haste the KEY won't turn in the ignition. NOW what! Surprise your key tip is missing some where in that key hole. Thats when you just gotta laugh out loud or cry like a Girlie man!
In the book of 1st Peter chapter 5 of the New Testament it says...

"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares
about what happens to you"

HE not only Cares HE Carries my worries so I don't have too. My part is to Give it up. I do believe it is more "blessed to Give then to receive"!

ESV Online Study Bible | Crossway

ESV Online Study Bible Crossway: "5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant,"(Philippians 2:5-7)

Your Dog...

Is there any one as friendly and good natured as Your dog? They are always aware of your presence and looking to you for direction...and Food. I never see my dog in a bad mood or do I feel like it wants to hit the road for new adventures without Us. Certain things do make her open her mouth and smile and it is more often enough ..yes, Food! Maybe it's because they can't speak that they have learned to be so expressive with eye and ear movement. Day in and out they seem to be a consistent friend. I find my self talking to the dog all the time. Yes, it drives my teenager crazy. I even caught my self the other day thinking why can't we be more in temperament like the good Ole Dog? Don't you think we would have more friends and people would just want to be around us? We would talk less and sympathize more, just by the way we looked at people. I don't want to be any bodys dog just a friend who really cares...whether you feed me or not. "Have this mind..."
